September Favorites

Updated: Oct 3, 2019

Here we are. It's the 1st of October, Summer has officially come to an end & all of the fall festivities are in full swing! For me, September was a month full self-care & alignment. I've stuck to a skincare routine & found some awesome (and affordable!) products to keep me feeling calm & fresh. Along the way I've also found some of the best skincare for my kids!

All products mentioned are items that I genuinely love, and they'll all be linked in the titles.

💕

Okay, I love this so much that I use it on myself too. Its the only product I've gotten to try by Puracy so far, but it makes me want to purchase many more. When It comes to buying skincare products for my kids, I refuse to buy anything that isn't top notch & great for them. I'm a sucker for natural products & this one is no exception. It's naturally derived, formulated by doctors, non-toxic, hypo-allergenic, vegan, gluten-free, Certified Cruelty-Free, and made in the US. It's made with ingredients that won't cause irritation, dryness, or redness, so even after using it, your skin will still feel moisturized & soft! Which is the exact reason I love using it for my Baby's delicate skin & even as a face wash for myself! Ya girl has dry, sensitive & acne prone skin, so I have to be extremely picky when it comes to facial cleansers. Puracy is a great company, and I can't wait to try more of their products. Not only are they creating great products, but they're also incredibly transparent when it comes to ingredients & information regarding them! Another plus? For every purchase made, they make a donation to local children & families in need. 10/10, would recommend.

I purchased this a little over a week ago & I don't know how I ever lived without it! Basically, it's this cute little pouch made out of hemp, with a little tie at the top. You can pop your Wicked Dope Soaps right into it & it'll exfoliate your skin gently & effectively. I've been using Wicked Dope Soap Sweet Apple Spice Soap inside mine. It makes the entire room smell like spiced apples with a lil' hint of pumpkin. Get the apple cider ready, because its seriously mouth watering. Not only does it make your skin feel bomb AF, but since it's made out of hemp, its a hell of a lot better for our environment.

Hemp can be recycled, reused, and it's 100% biodegradable!

Not only is this a September Favorite... but it's an everyday, every month favorite.

Last year, Kori (Wicked Dope Soap Creator), had given me some samples of it, and I haven't strayed away from it since! One container lasts AGES (even for a lip balm addict. Trust me. I speak from experience) It's the most hydrating lip balm I've ever used & its made from 100% natural ingredients! It also comes in metal packaging & can easily be recycled!

As someone who has had issues with texture & acne, this has become a staple in my skincare routine. I use it 1-2 times a week, depending on how my skin is feeling. It gently exfoliates without the use of harsh mechanical exfoliants (walnut shells, micro-beads, sugar, etc).

For someone with sensitive & acne prone skin, chemical exfoliants like glycolic acid can be beneficial because they're gentle on the skin. They wont irritate breakouts and cause bacteria to fall into the micro-tears that mechanical exfoliants can create... resulting in less breakouts. Other benefits? Smaller pores, less texture & reduced appearance of fine lines and acne scars!

I always find myself getting hormonal & stress related breakouts. (Especially since pregnancy!) When that happens, this is my absolute GO-TO. This little kit comes with a detoxifying charcoal cleanser, an acne fighting sheet mask, and a daily repair treatment. The cleanser & the treatment that comes with it lasts for about three applications. So, I'll usually buy a couple more sheet masks to go with it. That way, I can do three full treatments within the course of a week. It really does help detoxify your skin and heal breakouts quickly! Maybe I'll do a breakout skincare routine soon? Hmmm.

Hopefully this was helpful for someone looking for some new skincare products!

Look out for October's Top 5 Favorites on November 1st!

XOXO,

Kayla
